It seems that everyone has been writing about Evangelism this week. Is some sort of theme-bug going around the teen Christian blogosphere or something? I mean, last week, everyone was talking about Predestination and now the topic of the week is Evangelism…
Lindsey (Daughter of the King) has just concluded a great series on the topic. Although her BLOG is very new to the ’sphere, Lindsey has been around for awhile now, commenting and challenging all of us to work harder. Here are her posts (in order of appearance):
Jake (Mission 3:6Teen) has also been looking at it:
If you’ve seen a post on Evangelism, just comment and let me know. Grace and Peace!

Well, SecDef made quite a case against Replacement Theology on his blog. SecDef is a Generation Joshua member, as well as a member of its developing Online Government. He is, from what I understand, involved in ROTC through GMU. In any case, he did a superb job on it. Check it out!

I read an interesting article just a few minutes ago by Mr. Gregg Harris, father of author Joshua Harris (I Kissed Dating Goodbye, Boy Meets Girl, Not Even A Hint) and big-time bloggers Alex and Brett Harris (The Rebelution - highly recommended by the best of us). The article is entitled Reformed, Charismatic, & Evangelical: Keeping the Fire in the Fireplace! and is located at the Household of Faith Community Church website. It basically examines how those three groups emphasize different points of the Gospel but oftentimes take it too far. In light of my own studies on the matter of Christian unity, I’d say this is the fairest analysis I’ve yet to see!
The only thing I could possibly add to the list is Traditional Christian churches. We who are not Catholic or Orthodox cannot often get past the idea of veneration of saints or hierarchical church government that is rather extensive. Some of us have other (or many) issues with their doctrine. However, I must say that those churches, of all of the others, have preserved the idea of God’s majesty and power in such a way that I often wonder why we fail to recognize it. One of these days, I will have to write about what different groups have preserved (not like Mr. Harris - I’m referring to elements of the Early Church and what groups carry forward from it. Unfortunately, no denomination has it all!)
Anyways, it is a good read and I recommend it so check it out!
